Insights Into Paediatric First Aid Training

Students will learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, bites and stings. The training will take place on Monday, April 24 from 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m. at the LaSalle County Health Department, 717 E. Etna Road, Ottawa. The class will be limited to 12 people per session. The only cost associated with the training is for the certificate from the American Heart Association.
